JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. — A man is in custody after he allegedly assaulted his father in James City County.

Police were called to a home in the 200 block of Reflection Drive around 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.  A 71-year-old man reported he had been assaulted by his son, who then fled the scene in his vehicle.
