SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, Va. — A 30-year-old man was arrested in Southampton County on Jan. 26 for having child pornography, deputies said.
Cody Drake, 30, was charged with three counts of possession of child pornography. According to the Southampton County Sheriff's Office, two of the counts were deemed "second or subsequent offense."
Drake's arrest came after the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office got a tip from the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about child pornography possession.
The Southampton County Sheriff’s Office said detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in the 19000 block of Southampton Parkway on Jan. 25, the day before Drake's arrest.
Drake was released on bond on Jan. 30. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 26.
