PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A man was rushed to a hospital following a shooting in Portsmouth Tuesday evening, authorities said.
Shortly before 7:15 p.m., the Portsmouth Police Department (PPD) was alerted to a shooting on 7th Street, between Jefferson and Madison streets.
Responding officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics brought the victim to a hospital for further treatment. There's no word on his condition at this time.
No arrests have been announced in the case yet, however, PPD said more details would be released at a later time. The investigation is ongoing.
