SUFFOLK -- The Suffolk Police Department is asking for the public's help to catch criminals. It will release a 'Most Wanted' list each month.

Some people who live in Suffolk are happy to see the initiative.

"I think it's a great thing for the police to have a most wanted list out to just help the community, and for the community to help them," said Vondra Gray.

The list will be released each month with a number of criminals listed that police are looking for. October's list was released Thursday.

"By working together with law enforcement, our citizens can send a strong message that crime will not be tolerated within our communities," said the police department in a statement.

People can submit tips anonymously through the crime line (1-888-LOCK-U-UP) or by downloading the TipSoft app. It is available for both Android and iPhone users.

Some of the crimes are more serious than other, but residents like Gray says that doesn't matter.

"I think if we can stop minor crimes, then major crimes will go away. A lot of times small things become big things when you don't put a stop to them then," she said.
