5, including minor, charged in connection to string of vehicle tampering in Williamsburg

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Five people have been arrested and charged in connection to a string of vehicle tampering throughout Williamsburg that happened between March and April.

Williamsburg Police say that between March 22 through April 25, they responded to 13 different reports of vehicle tampering.

After investigation, five people were identified, charged and arrested in connection to the vehicle tampering. Police say follow-up with victims, witnesses and collaboration between the Uniform Patrol Bureau and the Criminal Investigations Bureau allowed the suspects to be identified. 

Nisaiah Perry, 19, of Williamsburg has been charged with credit card theft, computer fraud, ID theft, tampering with a vehicle, petit larceny and possession of burglary tools among other charges.

Isiah Brown, 20, of James City County has been charged with credit card theft, tampering with a vehicle, petite larceny, and possession of burglarious tools among other tools. 

Savon Bailey, 20, of Newport News has been charged with credit card theft, tampering with a vehicle, petit larceny, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor among other charges.

Quashawn Cunningham, 22, of Newport News has been charged with removing the serial number from a firearm, false statements in the investigation of another's crime, and obstructing justice among other charges.

Finally, a 17-year-old boy has been charged with credit card theft, conspiracy to commit credit card theft, tampering with a vehicle and possession of burglary tools among other charges.
