HAMPTON, Va. — Hampton's Streetcar 390 Project opened its doors to the public Saturday for an up-close look at the progress of the historic trolley.
The open house raised money for the project, with volunteers on hand to talk about the history of the car and its restoration.
"We waited a long time to get the restoration underway and we are now full steam ahead," said Streetcar 390 Project committee head Greg Siegel in a news release.
"We will go as far as our funds will take us," Siegel said.
