CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast is hosting a fun event on Saturday to help kick off the start of the cookie-selling season.
This year is the 10th Annual 2024 Cookie Classic Run. The event is a celebration for Girl Scouts, Girl Scout families, and all who support the Girl Scout mission of "building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place!"
At the event, they offer timed 5K, 10K races, and an untimed 1-mile Fun Run. They even offer a virtual option called the Do-Si-Don't Show Virtual Run.
The in-person runs will be at Chesapeake's Dismal Swamp Canal Trail at 9 a.m. this Saturday. You can find more information and register for the event on their website.
