The basketball stars will visit Iverson's alma mater — Bethel High School — on May 2 and then head to the Hampton Coliseum on May 4.

HAMPTON, Va. — For the 8th year, NBA legend Allen Iverson's Iverson Classic continues its position as the most visible and impactful All-American game in the nation.

The best players in the country battle it out each year in a week of highly competitive and this year the 2024 Classic makes its debut in Hampton. The basketball stars will visit Iverson's alma mater — Bethel High School — on May 2 and then head to the Hampton Coliseum on May 4.

"It's an honor to finally bring the Iverson Classic back to where it all started for me," Iverson said in a release. "There’s no feeling like playing here and I'm thrilled to give these young athletes the same experience at Bethel and the Hampton Coliseum. This is more than a game; it's a celebration of the future of basketball, right here in Hampton."

Jai Manselle, who co-founded the event, said they are grateful for the city's support.

"We are profoundly thankful to the local leaders and the entire Hampton community for their incredible support in making the Iverson Classic in Hampton a reality," according to a statement from Manselle. "Mayor Donnie Tuck, Mary Bunting, Mary Fugere and other local leaders have shown an unparalleled commitment to celebrating youth, community and sports. We hope to blow the door open for bringing more prestigious sporting events to the city."
