HAMPTON, Va. — The Third Annual East Coast Sitting Volleyball Tournament (Sit 2 Hit) is coming to the Fort Monroe Community Center on April 6.
The tournament honors Wounded Warriors, with all money raised going to support Military Wounded Warriors.
The first match begins at 8 a.m., with two courts available for play. During the tournament, there will be five teams per court playing in a round robin format.
Playoffs for the tournament will include the top two teams from each court. An awards ceremony and pictures will immediately follow playoffs.
Participants are invited to attend a Military Night event featuring a live band at the Oozlefinch Craft Brewery, 81 Patch Road on Fort Monroe, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Individuals and teams can now register for the event at by clicking here. Student registration is $20 per person, while individual registration is $30 per person. Full team registration is $300. However, military warriors and veterans play for free.
Sit 2 Hit is organized by non-profit Get Set 4 All, Inc., whose mission is to provide opportunities for any youth, adults and the military wounded warriors to be able to experience the fun and joy of adapted sports while building relationships that can last a lifetime.
