HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) -- Kroger Mid-Atlantic needs dozens of people for its store that will open soon at the Riverdale Plaza development, and it's hosting a hiring event to fill the positions.
The event takes place Saturday, June 16 at the Hilton Garden Inn Coliseum Central. The hotel is located at 1999 Power Plant Parkway in Hampton. The hours of the event are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Anyone interested in applying for a position should do so online, then bring a resume to the interview at the hiring event. People do not have to schedule appointments for interviews. Available positions cover all areas of the store. Most are primarily part-time, but some full-time positions may be available for qualified candidates with experience.
“We are excited about welcoming new associates to Kroger and we are interested in speaking with anyone that wants to join our team,” said Allison McGee, corporate affairs manager for Kroger’s Mid-Atlantic Division.”
The hiring event is open to the public. Kroger Mid-Atlantic specifically encouraged former Farm Fresh employees to attend. Since Farm Fresh's closure, 358 of the chain's former employees have joined the Kroger team.
