Man hurt in Hampton shooting; victim not cooperating with investigation

A man walked into Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton with multiple gunshot wounds. He's not cooperating with the shooting investigation.

HAMPTON, Va. —

Hampton police are investigating a shooting that left one man hurt Sunday.

Around 5:29 a.m., a man with gunshot wounds walked into Sentara CarePlex Hospital.

The man's injuries aren't considered life-threatening.

Police said the man was hit by gunfire while in the parking lot of a business in the 2700 block of North Armistead Avenue.

No one else was injured.

The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. There is no suspect information. 

The victim is uncooperative at this time, police said.
