HAMPTON, Va. — Hampton Police Division said two people are dead in Hampton during a barricade situation Thursday morning.
The man and woman were identified as Alexis Renee Berro, 20, of Virginia Beach; and Diquan Divory Milton, 25, of Hampton.
SWAT and Crisis Negotiation Team entered the home where an armed person was inside a residence in the 100 block of Findley Square. Another person was also reported inside the home.
They found two bodies inside the residence.
Officers attempted to communicate with the individual to de-escalate the situation when several shots were fired inside the residence.
The Hampton SWAT team, as well as the Crisis Negotiation Team, responded to the scene and made contact with two other men inside the home.
With the assistance of officers, the two men exited the home safely.
