Daughter of Sen. Louise Lucas cited by Norfolk Airport Authority Police for allegedly carrying weapon into ORF terminal

NORFOLK, Va. — Police documents show the daughter of Sen. Louise Lucas is facing a citation for allegedly carrying a weapon into the terminal at Norfolk International Airport (ORF).

According to a summons from the Norfolk Airport Authority Police Department, Theresa Lucas brought a weapon into the terminal on Friday. Theresa is the daughter of Sen. Lucas, who represents Virginia's 18th district, which covers much of Portsmouth and Chesapeake.

The summons states that Theresa Lucas is ordered to appear in General District Court on March 8 for the alleged violation of Virginia Code 18.2-287.01, which forbids carrying any dangerous weapons into airport terminals.
