Old Dominion University police investigating sexual assault

In an alert, ODU Police said a woman was sexually assaulted by a man she knew, and had arranged to meet.

NORFOLK, Va. — Old Dominion University Police are investigating a sexual assault.

The assault was reported to police on May 15, but the incident took place on May 14. In an alert to the ODU community, it said the assault took place in the 1000 block of Monarch Way in Norfolk. 

A woman reported to ODU Police that she was sexually assaulted by a man that she knew. The alert also said the woman planned to meet him.

At this time, no charges have been filed in this case, and the investigation is open.
