NORFOLK, Va. — The Virginia Zoo posted a warning on their Facebook page Friday cautioning Virginians about a false advertisement scam.
The ad is “offering 4 tickets to the Virginia Zoo for $6.95 to celebrate our 125th anniversary,” the warning reads.
Located in Norfolk, The Virginia Zoo is urging Virginians not to click any links in the ad or enter personal information if they notice it on their feed.
The Zoo’s Facebook post is also asking citizens to report the page posting the ad to assist with its timely removal.
It is unknown whether anyone has been a victim of this scam yet.
