VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The Virginia Beach Aquarium's family-friendly event "Mermaids" is coming back to the facility this year.
Visitors will get the chance to get face-to-tank with a mermaid swimming in the Aquarium's Red Sea Tunnel. The event will feature mermaid encounters, photo opportunities and interactive activities.
In preparation for the big event, the mermaids will be conducting a practice dive Tuesday night.
The event will go on for three nights in April from the 3rd to the 5th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at the Virginia Aquarium website.
