VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) — There’s a house on Brockie Street in Virginia Beach that is doing a lot of good this year.
It’s not just because of the 300,000-light display that covers the property.
“Giving is great,” said Bonnie Anderson, the owner of the home.
For the last nine year, Bonnie and her husband Tim have shown Hampton Roads what giving is all about.
Part of their light display includes a large wooden train that takes up their entire driveway.
The idea is that when people come by to see the lights, they also drop off canned food in the train for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia.
“It’s nice to look out there and see people experiencing something that makes them happy,” said Tim Anderson.
