Woman dead, man hurt in Accomack County double shooting

Accomack County deputies said a 24-year-old woman is dead and a 23-year-old man is in the hospital following a shooting Monday in Painter.

PAINTER, Va. — A woman is dead and a man is in the hospital following a double shooting on Virginia's Eastern Shore, the Accomack County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies were called to the 31000 block of Keller Pond Road in Painter around 3:44 p.m. on Dec. 4 for a report of gunshot victims. They arrived to find a 23-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds.

The man was taken to the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where deputies say his listed in stable condition. The woman, identified as Aaliyah Antonatte Shakuria Collick, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies have not released any information on what may have led to the shooting, or if they are searching for any possible suspects.
