RICHMOND (AP) -- The daughter of one of the prosecutors in former Navy SEAL trainee Dustin Turner's murder trial is now supporting the imprisoned man's clemency request.

Ann Marie Riggs of Virginia Beach says she's urging Gov. Bob McDonnell to grant the Bloomington, Ind., native's petition before his term ends Saturday.

Turner is serving an 82-year sentence for the 1995 slaying of 21-year-old Jennifer Evans. Another former SEAL trainee, Billy Joe Brown of Dayton, Ohio, also was convicted and is serving 72 years. Brown initially blamed Turner but now says he alone killed Evans.

Riggs says she believes Turner is guilty of nothing more than helping Brown hide the victim's body. She adds that she believes her father, who died in 2004, would support her position if he were still alive.
