UPDATE 7/18:David Becker, the former Navy SEAL who was convicted of stealing and selling government property, was sentenced Friday to 16 months in prison and 3 years supervised release.
He was also ordered to pay restitution to the U.S. government.
Becker told Chief District Court Judge Rebecca Smith before he was sentenced that he has moved to Ohio and has been working as a roofer with an Amish construction crew.

UPDATE 12/9:Petty Officer 2nd Class David Karl Becker was released on $50,000 bond, secured by his parents, after a preliminary hearing in federal court Monday.
Probable cause was found for selling stolen government property, including a gas mask, two smoke grenades and armor piercing ammunition made just for US Special Forces.
No trial date has been set until a grand jury hears the case.

NORFOLK -- A Navy Seal faces federal charges after prosecutors say he was caught stealing military explosives and ammunition and trying to sell it online.
Petty Officer Second Class David Karl Becker faces four charges, including theft and sale of government property, possession of stolen explosive material, possession of stolen firearms or ammunition and engagement in firearms business without a license.
Becker was arrested on Wednesday after a months-long undercover investigation.
An affidavit filed by the NCIS special agent in charge of the investigation said authorities first learned of Becker's alleged scheme to steal Navy property and sell it from a tipster in September.
According to the affidavit, Becker sold the stolen items through his business, D & C Outdoors LLC, and through the website GunBroker.com.
The affidavit also states that Becker told his Navy coworkers he would steal grenades and ammunition left over from field training exercises.
An undercover agent said he bought more than $2,300 worth of guns and explosives between two different transactions. Among the items the agent bought, the affidavit says, were two M18 yellow smoke grenades with Navy serial numbers.
Becker is being held at the Tidewater Regional Jail.
