VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- State police are investigating a three-vehicle crash that killed a motorcyclist in Virginia Beach Wednesday night, Virginia State Police Sgt. Michelle Anaya said.

The crash involved two Suzuki motorcycles and a Honda Odyssey, Anaya said.

The crash occurred around 7:15 p.m. east of Laskin Road, when a 2017 white Suzuki motorcycle and a 2008 blue Suzuki motorcycle were traveling westbound on I-264 at a high speed, Anaya said.

The motorcyclist of the white Suzuki hit the rear of the Honda Odyssey, causing the driver to lose control and hit the Jersey wall, she said.

After the white Suzuki hit the van, it collided with the blue Suzuki — ejecting the motorcyclist, Anaya said.

Both motorcyclists were transported to Virginia Beach General Hospital with life threatening injuries.

At the hospital one of the motorcyclists died. The other motorcyclist remains in critical condition.

All occupants of the Honda Odyssey were transported to Virginia Beach General with injuries not considered life threatening, Anaya said.
