Williamsburg City Manager resigns due to 'personnel issues'

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WVEC) -- Williamsburg City Council accepted the resignation of City Manager Marvin E Collins, III. on Monday.

Collin's resignation was during an emergency city council meeting, and his departure is a personnel issue. The City did not provide any further details.

Assistant City Manager, Andrew O. Trivette was named Interim City Manager.

Collins worked for the city since August of 2015. When he was the City Manager he coordinated the development of Midtown Row, worked to establish the tourism development fund, and focused on downtown parking.
