Tinasia Spencer led Princess Anne with 20 points, Micah Ojo had 14 as the Cavaliers had a strong second half to beat Menchville 62-50 in the Class 5 state quarterfinals. The Monarchs got 17 points from Cyriah Griffin in the loss.
Next up for Princess Anne in the semis is Deep Creek who beat Norview 49-47. Asia Keels finished with 23 points and Alaya Monroe added 12 for the Hornets.
In Class 4, Hampton won easily over Chancellor 62-49. Monacan topped Jamestown 66-50. The Eagles Maddie Leach had 19 points in the loss.
Lake Taylor girls got 17 points and six assists from La’Mari Budd as they won over Brentsville District 56-49 in Class 3. Lafayette's season came to an end as they lost to Meridian 52-41.
