Former NSU guard Thomas says he's headed to VCU

Jamarii Thomas made the announcement through social media on Tuesday that he's headed up I-64 to play for the Rams.

Nearly a month after he said he was leaving Norfolk State and heading to the transfer portal, guard Jamarii Thomas announced through his Instagram account on Tuesday, he's going to Virginia Commonwealth University.

In just one season with the Spartans, the Greensboro, North Carolina native averaged 17 points a game and cleaned up with plenty of honors. He'd win both MEAC Newcomer and Player of the Year. Thomas also was named to the conference's all-first team and all-defense.

Prior to Norfolk State, Thomas spent a season at North Carolina-Wilmington.
