Norfolk boxer Keon Davis has his eyes on the Paris Olympics in 2024

The 22 year old currently has a record of 25-9 as an amateur.

NORFOLK, Va. — Keon Davis is the youngest of the three boxing Davis brothers. At age 22, the Norfolk native and super welterweight qualified for the U.S. Boxing team at the Paris Olympic Games in 2024. He improved his record to 25-9 when he won a 4-1 decision over Carlos Flowers earlier this month.

If you're wondering with his talent that diving into the family business of boxing was always in the cards for him, you would have guessed wrong.

"Sometimes I fell out of boxing", he says. "When I was 15-16, I wanted to quit, because I felt like I was doing it my whole life. but I always knew that I was good at boxing and I could take it far".

With two older and talented brothers that are both unbeaten as pros (Kelvin 11-0), are they a cheat code for him?

"I mean, yeah, kinda!", he said. "Because you know the cheat code will get you there. Yeah they'll tell me what to do, but I've got to get there myself."

Keyshawn, who's currently 10-0 as a pro, says his younger brother has been with him at the Olympic boxing training center. He's been sparring with future olympians and feels it's the opposite.

"He's now in his own generation (of boxers). Keon is definitely the cheat code."
