NORFOLK, Va. — A woman was assaulted along Interstate 64 in Norfolk Sunday morning, Virginia State Police (VSP) said.
It happened along the eastbound lanes of the interstate near the Twin Bridges. VSP responded after a fight was reported around 7:30 a.m. Sunday. Another caller reported that a woman was being punched, and dragged by a vehicle.
When state police got there, they said the woman appeared to be disheveled, badly beaten and intoxicated. The two vehicles involved had driven off.
According to VSP, the woman knew who attacked her but didn't cooperate with investigators or press charges.
Medics took the woman to a hospital, but she walked away from the ambulance before being seen or treated.
