Preston Steger is a Senior Digital Content Producer at 13News Now. He joined the team in August 2021.
Preston grew up in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and graduated with an Advertising degree from Lee University. He also worked with his university’s student news outlet as a Social Media Manager.
After college, Preston landed at WRCB-TV in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as a Digital Producer and Weekend Assignment Editor. During his time there, he got to help cover numerous events, including the Easter 2020 tornado outbreak and the COVID-19 pandemic in the Tennessee Valley.
After two years with WRCB, Preston made the move to Hampton Roads to join the 13News Now team. He is passionate about covering local and state politics, environmental issues and cool things about the 757.
Outside of work, you’ll find Preston exploring the outdoors, trying to surf or checking out local coffee shops. He also loves photography, reading and playing guitar.
