CNU to hold finance workshop for teens, young adults

The class will teach personal finance skills through "engaging activities" designed for young people.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — A financial literacy workshop is coming to Christopher Newport University (CNU) to teach teenagers and young adults about the importance of finances.

CNU's Educational Enrichment Fund, Rosie Hartwell and Miss Hampton-Newport News are bringing the class to the Newport News university. The Financial Empowerment Workshop for Teens and Young Adults open to a range of ages runs from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2.

The class will teach personal finance skills through "engaging activities" designed for young people.

"The material is crafted by young people, for young people, with your financial future in mind," according to the online form.
