NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — A man was shot in Newport News overnight Friday, police said.
Around 12:45 a.m., Newport News police officers responded to the 9800 block of Jefferson Avenue after hearing gunshots.
Officers found a man with gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
