GLOUCESTER, Va. — Deputies are searching for a man after evading arrest and eventually crashing a vehicle in Gloucester on Saturday night.

Gloucester County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) says on Saturday around 9:30 p.m., a deputy saw a wanted person driving a vehicle with invalid registration near the intersection of Hickory Fork Road and Georgie Washington Memorial Highway.

The person was identified as Donnell Taylor, who was wanted for multiple counts of violating conditions of release and failing to appear on a felony charge. He was also wanted for felony possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance.

Deputies initiated a traffic stop, but Taylor did not pull over and a vehicle pursuit followed.

The vehicle crashed in the area of Sandy Clay Lane where Taylor ran away on foot. Deputies were not able to apprehend him, but a passenger was identified during the incident.

Deputies got additional arrest warrants on Taylor for including felony evading and eluding, abduction, reckless driving speed, and improper registration among other charges.
