PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A space aimed at empowering women and young girls in pursuing their professional aspirations is holding its grand opening in Portsmouth's Olde Towne on Tuesday.

The Mustard Seed Place located at 340 High Street will offer various services for women, including a co-working space, a training and professional development center.

In a release, founder and CEO Dr. Angela Reddix said she was inspired to create the "innovative" space to help empower other women to follow their passions.

The space "has evolved, embracing a new purpose while honoring its rich legacy," according to the release. "The building now stands as a beacon for entrepreneurial spirit and empowerment. Under the visionary guidance of Dr. Angela D. Reddix, the space has been reimagined to serve as a sanctuary for women, providing them with the resources, mentorship, and community they need to thrive."
