PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Two people are dead following a motorcycle crash on the West Norfolk Bridge (VA-164) in Portsmouth.
Portsmouth police said the crash happened around 8 a.m. on eastbound VA-164. Investigators said a motorcycle with two riders on it struck a jersey wall, throwing both people over the bridge and into the water below.
The driver, 27-year-old Henry Holmes, Jr. of Suffolk and passenger, 35-year-old Anjuli Fine of Virginia Beach, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Portsmouth Police Traffic Unit
