GATES COUNTY, N.C. — The second amendment sanctuary debate moves into another North Carolina county.
The Gates County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a resolution to show support for gun rights.
The sanctuary movement took off in Virginia, when city and county leaders were worried about gun control measures that may pass by the Democrat-controlled General Assembly.
In North Carolina, many county leaders are worried about the same thing happening on a national level. Currituck County passed a similar measure to Gates' back in January.
