VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A body was found on the beach at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek in Virginia Beach on Monday morning, Navy officials said.
The investigation began around 9:15 a.m. when base officials got reports of a deceased man near the Eagle Haven Golf Course, according to a Navy spokesperson. The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) and Virginia Beach Police Department responded.
Details are limited, but the NCIS is leading the investigation into the person's death.
