PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A late-night shooting in Portsmouth Tuesday left a man dead, Portsmouth police said.
At around 10 p.m., officers responded to a reported shooting in the 1100 block of Mount Vernon Avenue, between London Boulevard and High Street. There, police found Maurice Andre Brown, 30, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.
No suspect information was immediately released. Officials said the investigation is ongoing.
