VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Sentara is hosting a retreat on Saturday to support, educate, and honor cancer survivors and their families as well as a healthcare professional.
"Spend your day surrounded by a community of those affected by cancer — from patients to caregivers to healthcare professionals supporting patients in their journey," said Sentara on the upcoming retreat.
Beyond Cancer: The Thomas A. Alberico, MD Lectureship and Retreat will be held June 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Westin Virginia Beach Town Center.
It features many different events and sessions like a resource fair, a book signing with Pulitzer Prize-winning science writer Dr. Mukherjee, fitness classes that are safe for cancer survivors, and a panel discussion.
